I remember being little and getting tons of stuff, but now being a mom I wonder why did we get all that stuff. I dont like clutter, my kids need nothing -especially stuffed animals, we really dont eat candy at my house - so what do you get them.
I have gotten Gracie and Sophie an outfit and Jake some flip flops from Old Navy, but kinda stumped after that. Im not a bad momma??? I just look at all that stuff and think okay, it will be something else for me to pick up or the dog to chew or them to fight over or something for me to clean up. I dont know.
I know what you mean. Avery is mostly getting stuff that she needs anyway: pacifiers, jars of baby food, disposable changing pads, and travel wipes. I did get her a crinkle toy and am putting her new headbands in hers as well. I am limiting Sydney's candy to a chocolate bunny and a few Sweet Tarts. She never eats the candy, and I usually throw it out. She is getting into reading, so I got her a few books. I got her a bracelet and a few small toys on sale for fun. I'm not going overboard this year. She always gets our basket, one from each set of grandparents. It's crazy, and like you said, I am the one who has to clean it up!
