5 Months and Growing

Sophie turned 5 months old this past Saturday. She got to spend her 5 month birthday in Texas with her Uncle Eric and cousin Ashlyn. As usual we sang Happy Birthday to her and she just loved it. She just loves music (even if it the not so in tune kind like we sing)

Sophie and Uncle Eric (aka Magnum PI - notice the PI shirt - yeah I gave him a hard time)

Ashlyn and Sophie

We had a great trip (another blog time). Sophie did pretty good with such a long travel time (5-6 hours). And Uncle Eric just fell in love with her. He would put her to sleep every night (so Sweet)

Sophie is really growing up and has changed so much in the last month. She is learning to hold a sippy cup. She is doing ok at this. She knows that she is suppose to have it when we eat supper. She throws this little fit at the supper table until she gets it. And im one of those bad moms and put sweet tea in it (im southern so it has to be sweet tea). She loves it and it hasnt hurt her yet so - poo on the drs. I grew up on sweet tea and I turned some what Ok (most days anyways)

She also thinks she has to help during feeding times. She always grabs the spoon when Im trying to feed her. We usually end up making this huge mess bc she doesnt want to let go of the spoon and then food goes everywhere.

She can almost sit up by herself, she is rolling over (sometimes) I cant really figure out if she is meaning too or not. Sometimes it seems like she is trying and others it seems like she is just squirming and ends up rolling over. However she has officially gotten her first booboo .She rolled off the couch at my mother-in-laws today. She has a small bruise on her head and Sam's daddy got really upset bc she fell. (first of many im sure - after all she is mine and I dont tend to have the most graceful children)

She loves Pawpaw and has him wrapped around her little finger. Found this little onsie that says grandpaws answered prayers. He is really crazy about her and was so glad to see her this morning since she hasnt been over there in a week - Granny said he missed her a lot

She still loves to be outside, but it never fails, when we take her outside she will most certainly fall asleep.

My dad is home from Nashville so he was able to come out and see her tonight. He hasnt seen her since she was born so she has changed an awful lot since then. He just kept calling her SMILEY.

Really didnt think that it would all go by this fast, but it has. It is so fun watching her grow, but also so sad knowing that she is the baby but will not be a baby for long. So Happy Birthday Sophie

  2. She is so precious! I wish Avery would hold a sippy cup and sit up! She could care less about doing either. They are growing so fast.
