Without tenderness of spirit the most intensely righteous, religious life is like the image of God without His beauty and attractiveness.“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)On Wednesday nights at church our preacher has started this new thing of finding someone doing something good. At first it seemed just like one of his little things to point someone out, but he has continued to do so. It may not be obvious things that he sees, but maybe something he has heard someone talking about that another person did, or the outcome of someone doing something not realizing at the time they were doing something good.
People love to complain, and complaining is the simple act of finding someone doing something wrong.
What about not complaining so much. I have been listening to myself lately and I am just irritated in myself. I have so much to be thankful for and so much to be grateful for.
I love sending cards to people just to let them know they are being thought of. I have lately involved Gracie in doing the same thing. I have thought that it didnt matter to her, more like a chore, but this morning I heard her telling one of the girls that she sent a friend of hers a card so she would know she was being prayed for. Not that I was glad that she was telling this, but proud that she was proud of her for reconizing that this little act of kindness and love is such a big matter to someone receiving the card.
We all have different ways of showing we care
whether its giving a hug to someone who really needs a hug
Cooking a meal for someone
Making someone laugh
Or just praying for someone
What have you done lately? Some simple act of kindness that needed no recognition, just the the best feeling in your heart knowing that you touched someone ........... JUST BECAUSE!!!!
I would like to start a weekly list of all prayer request from anybody that has one. Prayer is the strongest tool that we have as Christians and God is the strongest healer there is.
